False Christ’s
(Matthew 24:5)
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Jesus in these passages of scripture warned that in the last days there will come many false Christ’s, claiming to be the Messiah. These false christ’s are preached by the false religions of our day. They are preaching that their Jesus is the same Jesus as the Christian Jesus. This is false doctrine.
“Believe it not”.
Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
There is only one God and one Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things and we by him.
Roman Catholicism preaches a Jesus that is manifest, incarnated in the mass, (Transubstantiation), A jesus that is sacrificed over and over again in the Mass, daily. When the Bible says that Christ died once for all. “It is Finished”
Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
This is a religion that believes that the bread and wine of the Eucharist literally changes into the body and blood of Christ.
The true Christian church teaches the bread and wine at the Lord’s table are symbols of His body and blood and we do it in remembrance of His sacrifice.
The bread and the cup are not holy elements in and of themselves. But they do represent something that is very holy. So it is with great respect and reverence that we come to the Communion table, recognising it is a symbol of what Jesus Christ accomplished for us on the cross.
Islam:
Islam teaches “Isa” (jesus). They and many others believe that this is the same Jesus of the Christian.
Again this is false.
Isa of the Koran is the greatest prophet according to Islam. However, this Isa is not the Son of God, nor did he preach the Kingdom of God, neither was he crucified but instead, He was taken up into heaven before the crucifixion. Even Messianic Arabs don’t believe Isa to be the same as Jesus/Yeshua.
So when a Christian shares the Gospel to a Muslim using ‘Isa’ instead of ‘Jesus’ or ‘Yeshua’ to talk about Jesus Christ, to a Muslim it will make no sense because to him. Isa is the greatest prophet and not the Son of God who came to reconcile man to God and to save sinners from the lake of fire.
Muslim’s claim that there is only one god (Allah) and that he has no son.
A major statement in the Koran says: Maryam (Mary) - 19:35 It is not conceivable that God should have taken unto Himself a son: limitless is He in His glory!
However many Christians are being taken in by this lie, which is being compounded by supporters of the inter faith movement, like Rick Warren who at the inauguration of Barak Obama, concluded his prayer in the name of “Jesus, Isa..”. This may pacify the Muslim but it is a lie.
Mormons:
Jesus of the Mormon teaches that Jesus is the spirit brother of Lucifer.
Whilst the Mormon would try cover this fact or to make it obscure, it is clear that this is what they believe.
The Mormon Church and current official LDS publications affirm it. As explained in Ensign: the Mormon magazine.
On first hearing, the doctrine that Lucifer and our Lord, Jesus Christ, are brothers may seem surprising to some—especially to those unacquainted with latter-day revelations. But both the scriptures and the prophets affirm that
Jesus Christ and Lucifer are indeed offspring of our Heavenly Father and, therefore, spirit brothers….But as the Firstborn of the Father, Jesus was
Lucifer’s older brother. (See Col. 1:15; D&C 93:21.)
Further, according to the official LDS teacher’s manual, Gospel Principles,
We needed a Savior to pay for our sins and teach us how to return to our Heavenly Father. Our Father said, “Whom shall I send?” (Abraham 3:27). Two of our brothers offered to help. Our oldest brother, Jesus Christ, who was then called Jehovah, said, “Here am I, send me” (Abraham 3:27)….Satan, who was called Lucifer, also came, saying, “Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor” (Moses 4:1).
The apostle Paul warned of a “different Jesus” and “another gospel”
Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
There have been many who have claimed to be the Christ.
The Moonies, founded by Sun Myung Moon, a Korean spiritual leader, entrepreneur, activist and peace advocate.
They believe that Jesus was divine, but not God.
They believe that because Jesus (the second Adam) was executed before accomplishing his mission, a third Adam was needed. This “third Adam” would be recognized as the second coming of Christ. As the perfect man he would marry the perfect woman and become the “true spiritual parents of humankind.”
Members of the Unification Church regard Moon and his second wife, Hak Ja Han, as these “True Parents.”
Married couples and their families within the movement are regarded as the “True Children” and linked to God through the “True Parents.”
Therefore, Moon claimed to be the second coming of Christ. A self confessed false Christ.
Branch Davidian, David Koresh (1959–1993), born Vernon Wayne Howell, was the leader of the religious sect in Waco, Texas, though never directly claiming to be Jesus himself, proclaimed that he was the final prophet and "the Son of God, the Lamb" in 1983. In 1993, a raid by the U.S. BATF, and the subsequent siege by the FBI ended with Branch Davidian ranch burning to the ground. Koresh, 54 adults and 21 children were found dead after the fire extinguished itself.
Founder of Peoples Temple, Jim Jones (1931–1978), which started off as an offshoot of a mainstream Protestant sect before becoming a personality cult as time went on. He claimed to be the reincarnation of Jesus, Akhenaten, the Buddha, Vladimir Lenin, and Father Divine in the 1970s. He organized a mass murder/suicide at Jonestown, Guyana on November 18, 1978. He shot himself after the murders were done.
All through the ages there have been those that claimed to be Jesus Christ.
All of these people claim to be Jesus but Jesus told us the way He would return.
He also said if any one says here He is, He is in the wilderness or any other place, do not believe them.
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
The scripture says “this same Jesus will come again in like manner as you see Him go”
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
A cloud received Him and He will come with the clouds.
Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Whilst it becomes quite obvious over time that these people are proven to be false Jesus, for they too, die.
The greatest problem for the church today is the other religions that are claiming that their Jesus is the same Jesus of the Bible.
If this is propagated, it will bring about, what they claim is Unity in the faith.
Roman Catholicism, Jehovah’s Witness, Mormon, Islam, Bhuddists, Krishna, and all the other faith’s.
This is the spirit of antichrist.
There can be no unity of faith’s. The true Christian church can have no unity with false religions.
There is an Ecumenical movement today that is trying to bring all religions under one umbrella. A one world religion.
A religion that one day will accept the coming antichrist as God.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
There is only one Jesus, there is only one Christ, there is only one way to God.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The Christian church cannot compromise this fundamental truth of scripture.
The Jews are waiting for the Messiah. The New Agers are waiting for the Maitreya, (The Cosmic Christ), to begin the New age of Aquarius.
The ushering in of The saviour proclaimed by all religions, Jesus, Messiah, Imam Mahdi, Krishna.
A man by the name of Benjamin Crème stated:
“Christians know him as the Christ, and expect his imminent return. Jews await him as the Messiah; Hindus look for the coming of Krishna; Buddhists expect him as Maitreya Buddha; and Muslims anticipate the Imam Mahdi or Messiah.
“Although the names are different, many believe that they all refer to the same individual: the World Teacher, whose personal name is Maitreya (pronounced my-tray-ah).”
When the antichrist is manifested on the earth, he will be all things to all men and they will follow him.
Rev13:3 “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”
v4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5.And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6.And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
However we are told in: 2 Thess 2:8
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way.
8 And then thelawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth and abolish by the majesty of His arrival.
9 The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder.
The truth is that Satan in these last days has anesthetised the church and the church is unaware of the great deception that is taking place.
The eroding of the Word of God. The heresy of inter faith, preaching that we all believe in the same God and that in the name of peace, we should all unite under a one world religion.
When the antichrist comes, he is going to unite all the worlds false religions.
We see these in such teachings as Rick Warrens book “The Purpose Driven Life” who says there needs to be a “Global Peace Plan” where all religions should be drawn together for the sake of global peace.
This is compromise of the Christian faith.
Why are we not hearing the leaders of the church standing up for truth and exposing this as heresy?
Answer: the church is asleep. The elect are being deceived.
It is time for Christians to get into their Bibles and study the Word of God. We have got to warn each other as to the workings of Satan and how the scriptures are being eroded and twisted and changed. We must stay true to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not be led away with every wind of doctrine.
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
The only way for the Christian to stand against the fiery darts of the wicked, is to don the whole armour of God and use the sword of the Spirit.
Ephesians 6:11-18 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
The only way for Christians to repel these false teachings is by referring to the Word of God.
The false prophet and the antichrist’s always, either misquote or twist scripture for their erroneous teachings.
Satan has always done this.
Beginning in the garden of Eden when he said to Eve, “hath God said”?
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Questioning the Word of God.
Next he twisted the Word of God when he said, “Ye shall not surely die”
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
He did exactly the same with Jesus in the wilderness.
Mat 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
Jesus did what we should do, He quoted scripture back at Satan.
Mat 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Also: Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
This is our example. We must use the Sword of the Spirit in our warfare with Satan.
We must never compromise our faith by believing the adversary.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
This is what Bishop Ignatii (Brianchaninov), who collected into one place everything said about Antichrist by the ancient Holy Fathers, says about it: [quotes from Vol. IV, p. 297]
“Antichrist will call himself a preacher and restorer of true knowledge of God: those who do not understand Christianity will see in him a representative and champion of true religion and will join themselves to him. Antichrist will
appear to be gentle, merciful, full of love and of all virtues: he will be recognized as such and obeyed on account of his most exalted virtues by those who recognise fallen human nature as the truth…
Antichrist will offer to mankind the organisation of the highest earthly well-being and prosperity, he will offer honors, wealth, majesty, and bodily comforts and pleasures: those who seek earthly things will accept the Antichrist and call him their master.
Antichrist will reveal before mankind a shameful display of striking miracles similar to the cunning presentation of the theater… he will instill fear by the terrors and wonders of his miracles, and by them satisfy vanity and human pride, he will satisfy carnal sophistry and superstition, and will confuse human learning: all men who are guided by the light of their fallen nature and who are foreign to guidance by the Light of God will be attracted to obey the deceiver.”
We need to be sober, awake and alert’ to recognise these false teachers and false Christ’s.
If we cannot recognise these false teachers and false prophets, how are we ever going to recognise the antichrist when he comes on the scene. He will be the master of deception.
Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
